Autumn on Como Lake
When the lake wears its best finery
Cruise the waters of the lake on board a wooden Venetian taxi or a vintage boat;
take long walks in the woods, picking mushrooms and chestnuts;
lose yourself in nature with a mountain bike ride (with assisted pedaling for those who don’t want to toil);
visit the wine cellars of Valtellina in harvest time and maybe try your hand at a “cooking lesson”;
plan a cultural visit and then be seduced by a day of shopping to discover the autumn/winter fashion collections.
Finally, simply relax on the terraces of a period villa in front of enchanting views…
All these activities become, for those who decide to visit Lake Como in autumn, real sensory experiences. Personally, I would also define them as emotional.
On beautiful autumn days, the shores of the lake, dressed in yellow, red and orange, mirroring themselves in the water create a painting that makes me happy and open to new beginnings.
While the autumn scents of plants mixed with the “typical scent of the lake” create a sweet fragrance that gives me the right energy to face the winter.
All it takes is a long weekend to fully enjoy this natural spectacle and you will fall in love forever!
