The XVII century Villa del Grumello, with  its refined spaces and enchanting view, is one of the most privileged historical residences on the shores of Lake Como.

The Villa was owned by well-known houses: the Odescalchi, the Giovio and then the Celesia – who hosted famous figures such as Vincenzo Monti, Alessandro Volta and Ugo Foscolo.

In 2006 the Associazione Villa del Grumello started an ambitious restoration of the different buildings of the estate, as well as the redevelopment of the 4 hectares park, which is the heart of the Chilometro della Conoscenza, along with Villa Olmo and Villa Sucota, forming a 15 hectares urban park.

The Villa del Grumello and its XIX century Greenhouse are the ideal setting for small conferences, workshops, lectures, cultural and corporate events and, with the Park, a privileged location for video and photo shoots or a venue for gala dinners and exclusive receptions. 

The Grumello Park is structured with a romantic design. The many trees in the Park also include campho, some redwood trees and a century-old Ginkgo biloba.

A unique experience for the visitors in nature, history and culture.

From the center of Como, it is only a short walk to arrive at Villa del Grumello: a refined seventeenth-century residence reflected in the waters of the first basin of the lake.

Strolling in its splendid botanical park, you can admire secular plants, smell rare perfumed scents and see an elegant greenhouse overlooking a lily pond.

It is said that the poet Ugo Foscolo also fell in love right here, among evocative panoramas and romantic views …
